Fun in the sun...
Pattaya is now
enjoying the cool season. That means great diving at 28C(82F) as the
cooler sea temperature reduces plankton giving good visibility.
It's a great month to dive Pattaya whether you are a novice or an
experienced diver.
Never dived before? No problem, sign up
for the PADI Discover Diving course and dive on a coral reef on day one
under the supervision of your PADI Instructor.
There's no better time to
come and enjoy glorious sunshine, super hotels, wonderful restaurants, swimming
with dolphins, pristine golf courses, legendary night life and scores of
fun things to do for all the family.
There's some way to go before Pattaya can be described as "busy"
as the world shakes off the recession, but from the moment you arrive in town you will be in a buyers'
paradise.
Even
in the high season hotels, big and small will often give discounts on rooms which are
already ridiculously cheap compared with western countries.
So what sort of
holiday can you expect in Pattaya in January ? Well you can be sure of two things -
fun and sun. Although this is the cool season expect day
temperatures in the low 30s and usually no rain until the middle of February.
As night falls
the temperature can drop to the 20s - just right for dinner on the
beach under the stars. The sea temperature is 29-30c and we
are getting good viz diving with uncrowded dive sites. Over
the next month or two the sea will cool by a couple of degrees.
Apart from the
weather and bargain prices there are many other reasons why this a great time to book a
holiday in Pattaya. Our
day trips to swim
with trained dolphins are fantastic fun for all the family.
On the
diving side, one of
our most popular courses is for people who have never previously
dived. It's a special one-day course called PADI
Discover Scuba Diving. This is a wonderful opportunity for people who
have thought about learning to dive but aren't sure whether they would
enjoy it.
You'll
get a full briefing from your professional PADI scuba instructor as the
dive boat heads to the coral islands. After learning a few
simple skills while standing in shallow water by the beach you're off for your first dive under close supervision.
When
you are looking comfortable the instructor will guide you
over the colourful coral reefs through clouds of exotic tropical fish.
If you
are already a certified diver you can go for fun dives or maybe take
another course to improve your certification rating and open the way to
sites currently beyound your training. And learning these new skill is much
more fun when the sea is 28C warm !
Many
people ask us: "Is it
safe to visit Thailand ?" Well the sad fact of life is that nowhere in the world
can be guaranteed to be safe from the effects of nature or humans. And
that probably includes where YOU are living right now.
But if you are worried
that you might get blown up, blown over, flooded, die of
bird 'flu, Mexican swine 'flu, be made redundant, go broke.... then you might just as well
come to Thailand and have a bit of fun first.
And there's no place
better to go than Pattaya if you seek fun.
So come and dive with us.
Experience the magic of
"flying" weightlessly over a coral reef, or explore the four wrecks on
our day trips. At the end of the day's diving join our staff for a cold beer
or two, relax and discuss what you saw while you were under the sea.
Is your job
secure ? Does your future promise to be fun-filled and exciting? If you answered "no" to
either of those questions then why not join one of our
tailor-made courses which can take you from novice diver to become a PADI professional scuba instructor in just six months.
Unlike other
dive schools we don't demand the full cost of instructor internship
training up-front and non-refundable. With us you simply pay for each
course as you work your way up from being a PADI
Open Water diver to becoming a PADI Open Water Instructor.
That means you can start
your dive instructor training with an outlay of just £83; Euros 91 or
US$ 175. No other dive shop in Pattaya gets near that price !
Diving Thailand is a British, family-run, authorised PADI dive school so
you know you will be in safe hands. We are also bonded by the Tourist
Authority of Thailand.
